our story
t the entrance of the Daisetsuzan mountains, we discovered an abandoned gas station buried in snow. Unlike typical commercial properties, former gas station sites pose significant challenges for redevelopment due to potential soil contamination and other environmental concerns, making land reuse difficult nationwide.
In response to this issue, we at Gypsy Fire Stream, as a comprehensive outdoor production company, have committed to regeneratively transforming the gas station in Kamikawa Town, Hokkaido, into a vibrant gathering place for the community.

Before
after
Rather than rebuilding, we are dedicated to regeneratively repurposing the existing structure, preserving its original form. This approach aligns with the principles of adaptive reuse, which involves transforming existing buildings for new purposes while maintaining their historic and architectural integrity. By embracing this method, we aim to contribute to sustainable urban development and breathe new life into the community.
